Tutoring that feels
like an adventure

Every English and Maths lesson continues an ongoing story - so kids actually want to come back.

Small groups · 2 hours weekly · no commitment after the free session

  • Led by a Graduate Teacher
  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) held

Why kids come back

It does not feel like extra schoolwork

Most children have already done a full day at school by the time they get to tutoring. Handing them another worksheet is a hard sell, and it shows.

So our lessons follow an ongoing story instead. The reading, writing and maths are woven right into the plot - your child is solving problems because the story needs them solved, not because a page told them to. Each week picks up where the last one left off, and kids come back wanting to know what happens next.

English

Reading and comprehension, spelling, handwriting and writing - all carried along by the story rather than drilled in isolation.

Maths

Times tables, number facts and problem solving, set as challenges the characters need worked out.

What actually happens

Two hours, honestly described

To start

Picking up the story

We recap where the adventure got to last week and set up what the group is working towards today. It doubles as a gentle check on how school is going.

The bulk of the session

Reading, writing and maths, in the plot

Every child works at their own level on their own materials. Small groups mean nobody sits at the back quietly not understanding, which is the thing that usually goes wrong in a classroom of thirty.

To finish

Anything they brought from school

Homework, a reading log, something they found tricky this week. They leave having actually finished things, which is a much better feeling to take home.

What it costs
$60 for a full 2-hour session - just $30 an hour $50 each if you enrol siblings

The first session is free, and there is nothing to pay unless you decide to continue. We publish our prices because most tutors do not, and you should know before you get in touch.

Questions parents ask

Before you book

Is the first session really free?

Yes, completely. Your child comes along, joins in, and you decide afterwards. Nothing to pay on the day and no commitment either way.

My child has never had tutoring. Will they be behind the others?

No. Every child works on their own material at their own level - the story is what they share, not the worksheet. A child who joins this week slots straight into the adventure without having missed anything they need.

What year levels is this for?

Foundation (Prep) through to Year 6. We also run sessions for Years 9 to 12 including VCE - see the main page for those.

What do we need to bring?

A pencil case, and anything from school they would like a hand with. We provide all the worksheets and story materials.

Do I need to stay during the session?

Entirely up to you. There is a room for parents at the centre with free wifi, tea and coffee, so you can settle in and wait rather than driving home and coming back for a two-hour session. Dropping off and returning at the end is just as fine.

Who is teaching my child?

Jordan and Le, who run Jump Leap Learning and teach every session themselves. Sessions are led by a Graduate Teacher, and we both hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
